Video: Israel Destroys Iranian F-5 Fighter Jets in Airfield Strike Amid Escalating Conflict
June 22, 2025: In a dramatic escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, Israel has released footage showing the destruction of Iranian F-5 fighter jets during airstrikes at Dezful Airport in Iran’s Khuzestan province. The operation is part of a broader Israeli assault on Iranian military infrastructure, which now involves direct participation by the United States.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike on two F-5 fighter jets, relics from the era of the Shah, as well as the destruction of eight missile launchers, including six that were reportedly armed and prepared to fire at Israeli territory.
Around 20 Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets carried out coordinated strikes across multiple Iranian locations on Saturday. The target list included:

The situation intensified further on Sunday as U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed American involvement, announcing that B-2 Spirit bombers had successfully hit three key Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
The bombers, flying non-stop from Missouri, executed the mission using six bunker-buster bombs on Fordow and approximately 30 Tomahawk missiles on the other targets. Trump hailed the operation as a “very successful attack” and issued a stern warning to Iran of “far greater” retaliation if the conflict continues.
These strikes mark one of the most direct and aggressive U.S. military actions against Iran in recent years and have drawn mixed global reactions. Israel lauded Trump’s decision, while the United Nations and several world leaders have urged restraint amid fears of a broader regional war.
With Israel focusing on military infrastructure and the U.S. targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, the confrontation has reached unprecedented heights, and the potential for full-scale conflict looms large.
