Video Shows Colorado Terror Suspect Confronted by Bystanders After Firebomb Attack

Six elderly victims suffered burns as Mohamed Sabry Soliman launched a fiery assault in Boulder, Colorado, targeting a pro-Israel demonstration.

June 2, 2025: Washington:
The FBI has identified 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman as the suspect behind a terrifying firebomb attack that left six elderly people injured in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday.

Video footage of the incident has gone viral, showing a shirtless Soliman clutching bottles filled with liquid and shouting, “End Zionists!” and “Free Palestine!” moments after hurling the makeshift firebombs at a gathering held to honor Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.

Soliman was quickly confronted by members of the public, and video also shows him being handcuffed and taken into custody by police.

Eyewitness Brooke Coffman described seeing four women suffering from burns, one of whom appeared to have burns over much of her body and was wrapped in a flag to protect her wounds.

Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said six victims, aged between 67 and 88, were hospitalized after the shocking attack at the city’s bustling Pearl Street pedestrian mall, where a volunteer group named ‘Run For Their Lives’ had gathered.

“This was a lone suspect,” Chief Redfearn said. “We’re confident we have the only person responsible in custody.”

FBI Director Kash Patel condemned the assault as a “targeted terror attack,” and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser labeled it a “hate crime given the group that was targeted.”

The White House said President Donald Trump has been briefed on the incident.

The attack follows last month’s shooting of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington, DC, by 31-year-old Elias Rodriguez, who also claimed he acted “for Palestine.”

The ongoing war in Gaza, sparked by Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, has killed more than 54,000 Palestinians, displaced nearly 2 million people, and stoked tensions worldwide.
