Virat Kohli Heads to USA for T20 World Cup

Cricket superstar Virat Kohli is off to the USA, joining the Indian squad for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup. On Thursday evening, Kohli was spotted at the Mumbai airport, where he graciously signed an autograph for a young fan and exchanged pleasantries with the paparazzi.

The media thanked him for the thoughtful gift hampers he and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, recently sent to respect their children’s privacy. Kohli was quick to credit Anushka for the idea.

India’s T20 World Cup campaign kicks off on June 5 against Ireland at the new Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The marquee clash against Pakistan is set for June 9, followed by matches against the USA on June 12 and Canada on June 15. Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, is eager to end their ICC trophy drought and capture their first T20 World Cup title since 2007. The squad includes top talents like Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant.

India aims to bounce back from their 2022 semifinal loss and secure a major ICC trophy, adding to the excitement and anticipation for cricket fans worldwide.
