Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation and wife of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, captivated attendees at her youngest son Anant Ambani’s wedding to Radhika Merchant. Held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, the wedding celebrations were a blend of opulence and tradition.
Nita Ambani’s attire, a stunning couture piece, drew widespread admiration. For the ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ ceremony, she wore an exquisite hand-embroidered Zardozi ghagra by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. This garment was meticulously crafted to reflect the architectural splendor of Kashi’s temples, featuring intricate motifs and designs.
Designer Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla highlighted the craftsmanship on Instagram, showcasing “family, love, and the finest craftsmanship.” The caption praised Nita’s grandeur in the hand-embroidered Zardozi ghagra, emphasizing the inspiration drawn from Kashi’s architecture. The ensemble included a jewelled blouse adorned with hand-embroidered jhumkas and auspicious elephant motifs.
Adding a personal touch, the ghagra displayed the names of Nita’s children—Akash, Isha, and Anant—and her grandchildren—Krishna, Aadiya, Prithvi, and Veda—embroidered on its delicate net base. Sequins and stones added a twinkling finish to the majestic craftsmanship.
Nita complemented her regal attire with emerald jewelry from her personal collection, designed by Viren Bhagat. She wore a magnificent necklace with emerald drops, large emerald earrings, a maang teeka, bazubandh, rings, and stacks of bangles. Her makeup accentuated her features, while a traditional red bindi added a touch of elegance.
Continuing her tribute to craftsmanship, Nita appeared in another bespoke creation by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla during the wedding ceremony on July 12. This ensemble featured a real tissue gold ghagra and a matching blouse with a red dupatta, both intricately adorned with Zardozi embroidery.
The event was graced by spiritual leaders like Jagadguru Rambhadracharya and Swami Sadananda Saraswati, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the guest of honor. Bollywood icons such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rajinikanth, along with regional celebrities like Venkatesh Daggubati and international stars Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, also attended the star-studded affair.
