Not Less Than Magic and Madness: Varun Dhawan Reviews ‘Kalki 2898 AD

Actor Varun Dhawan has showered praise on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. The film has opened to positive reviews and is performing well at the box office. Varun Dhawan shared his thoughts on the movie after watching it, posting on his X handle on Monday:

“Kalki is all that we have ever dreamt for and from Indian Cinema!! Every frame is to Marvel at – what you guys have done is not less than magic and madness. Thank You for giving us this experience in #Kalki2898AD.”

The post-apocalyptic film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. Alongside Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, the film features a stellar cast. Since its release, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has received widespread acclaim for its performances and visual spectacle, earning praise from fans and industry members alike.

On Sunday night, Amitabh Bachchan watched the movie with his son Abhishek and friends. Sharing his experience on his blog, Big B posted pictures from their movie outing. He revealed that it was his first time watching ‘Kalki’ in theaters since its release, attending a late-night show on Sunday. The photos capture the father-son duo enjoying the movie. Amitabh wrote:

“A Sunday of Sundays .. the well-wishers at GOJ and then to Kalki with some friends to see on big screen .. seeing film for first time .. Had not been out for years .. but so satisfying to be out to witness all the progress ..”

The film also features cameos by actors Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mrunal Thakur.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan has a busy schedule ahead. He will next be seen in the action thriller ‘Baby John’, directed by A Kaleeswaran, and presented by Atlee in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios. Additionally, Varun will star in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series ‘Citadel’ opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Created by Raj and DK, this adaptation is based on the Russo Brothers’ series headlined internationally by Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden.

Varun also has ‘Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari’ in his lineup. Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi.
