November 11, 2024: Actor Parineeti Chopra and her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, embraced the serene and spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi on Sunday as they attended the Ganga Aarti at the iconic Dashashwamedh Ghat. Accompanied by Raghav’s mother and other family members, the couple immersed themselves in the deeply spiritual ritual, seeking blessings and finding solace along the banks of the Ganga.
Dressed elegantly in a green ethnic ensemble, Parineeti radiated simplicity and grace, while Raghav donned a traditional white kurta-pyjama.
The couple was warmly welcomed by the Ganga Seva Nidhi team, with President Sushant Mishra noting that they participated in the aarti with devotion and watched the ceremony with reverence. “They were left mesmerised by the experience,” read a statement from the organisation.
The couple also received traditional gifts – an angavastram, prasad, and a memento – as symbols of their visit and connection to the spiritual heritage of Varanasi.
Their presence at the Ganga Aarti attracted a large number of fans who gathered at the ghat, eager to witness the couple’s spiritual journey. Parineeti and Raghav reportedly expressed their intention to return, describing the experience as a memorable and peaceful moment in their lives.
This isn’t the couple’s first engagement with spiritual practices. Just last month, they shared a special moment with Swami Shankaracharya Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, who visited them at their home. Parineeti shared glimpses of this visit on Instagram, expressing her gratitude and feeling “blessed” for the divine interaction.
Parineeti and Raghav celebrated their union on September 24, 2023, with an intimate wedding at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan, attended by close family, friends, and prominent personalities from politics and entertainment. For their first wedding anniversary, the couple chose a romantic getaway in the Maldives, sharing joyful moments of cycling on the beach and enjoying each other’s company in the scenic landscape.
On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila, co-starring with Diljit Dosanjh. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film released on Netflix earlier this year, showcasing Parineeti’s versatility as an actress.
The couple’s recent spiritual sojourn in Varanasi is a testament to their shared values and connection with Indian traditions, making their journey together even more meaningful.
