Parthiv Patel, a former cricketer for India, believes that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s selection means they will play in the T20 World Cup and does not view the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan as a World Cup selection series. “In my opinion, this series is not serving as a World Cup selection process. Whether a player plays or not won’t affect their chances of being selected for the World Cup, especially if you’re talking about Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma.
