2023 has been genuinely dominated by Shah Rukh Khan thanks to “Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Dunki.” Even though he has been making news with his incredible victories throughout the years, he has recently received many nominations for Vulture’s 2023 Annual Stunt Awards for his films “Jawan” and “Pathaan.” The international audience was equally as impressed by the SRK films “Jawan” and “Pathaan” as was the Indian one. Following a few difficult years, SRK made a huge comeback in 2023 and silenced his critics with his efforts. In January, SRK made a comeback to the big screen with “Pathaan,” starring Siddharth Anand. When SRK wore an action avatar in the movie, everyone was in awe. The movie became the highest-grossing film in the history of the Indian film industry and shattered multiple box office records. Do you recall the loud death knell that the Hindi film business heard throughout 2021 and 2022? At the box office, his movie essentially put an end to Bollywood’s dry spell.

For SRK and his fans, “Pathaan” will always hold a special place in their hearts because it was the actor’s first successful release following a four-year hiatus that included a string of failures like “Zero” and “Jab Harry Met Sejal.” Following “Pathaan,” King Khan made a theatrical comeback in September with Atlee’s directing of “Jawan.” In the movie, SRK played an action figure once more. Similar to “Pathaan,” “Jawan” was able to connect with the audience. The movie made over Rs. 1000 crore at the global box office. It goes without saying that SRK has had an amazing year.

SRK continued after this. He and Rajkumar Hirani came up with their first-ever collaboration on December 21. The film, titled “Dunki,” centers on the immigration debate. The phrase “donkey journey”—which describes the tortuous, frequently hazardous paths that people travel throughout the world to get to their desired immigration destinations—is derived from the title of the book. The public, however, gave the movie a mixed response. It performed rather well at the box office.
