Here are some popular sweet recipes that you can prepare to celebrate Dhanteras with your loved ones:

1. Besan Ladoo

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 cup Ghee
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and roast the besan on low flame until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
  2. Add chopped nuts and cardamom powder, mix well.
  3. Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, then add powdered sugar.

5. Moong Dal Halwa

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • Almonds and pistachios for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add the ground moong dal, and roast until golden brown.
  2. Mix water, milk, and sugar in another pan; bring it to a boil.
  3. Slowly add the sugar syrup to the dal mixture, stirring continuously.
