Ayodhya: In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22 are underway, and security measures have been intensified.
The Uttar Pradesh police force, responsible for Ayodhya’s security, has arrived in the town and is actively patrolling by land, water, and air. Additional Director General (ADG) Lucknow Zone, Piyush Mordia, highlighted the use of boats for patrolling on the Saryu River and drones for aerial surveillance.
The ceremony, expected to host nearly 8,000 VIP guests, will witness Prime Minister Modi performing rituals for the new Ram Lalla idol created by sculptor Arun Yogiraj. ADG Mordia specified that guests with QR-coded invitation cards would be allowed entry, while devotees seeking darshan of Ram Lalla would be permitted entry the day after the temple’s inauguration. Traffic arrangements, including parking lots and signage, have been organized to ensure a smooth flow of visitors.
Prime Minister Modi, along with a team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit, will officiate the main rituals, and various celebrities and dignitaries have received invitations to the ceremony
