President addresses Parliament: Highlights

Rs 1 lakh crore sanctioned for 1,000 schemes to boost agriculture sector in country.

The president said, “To improve agriculture infrastructure, approximately Rs 1 lakh crore have been sanctioned for 1,000 schemes to boost the Agri sector in India.” “The government believes in the basic mantra of ‘Antyodaya’, in which there is social justice, equality, respect and equal opportunities. Schemes like PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, Har Ghar Jal and PM Svamitva are greatly benefiting the citizens across the country,” He further stated, “Under Svamitva Yojana, more than 40 lakh property cards have been distributed in around 27,000 villages. The government is working relentlessly to empower the rural economy and the farmers of the country. Keeping in mind the record production, the government has also made record procurement.”

India has become one of the fastest growing Economies

“With the efforts of my govt, India has once again established itself as tone of the fastest-growing economies of the world” President Ram Nath Kovind.

Khadi sale has grown over 3-times since 2014

“Khadi, which was a symbol of the country’s consciousness under the leadership of Bapu in the freedom struggle, is once again powering small entrepreneurs. Due to the efforts of the govt, the sale of Khadi has increased three times as compared to 2014,” President Kovind.

Emphasis on Make in India for requirements of our Armed Forces

Our aim is to ensure that goods required by our armed forces are manufactured in India. Govt has taken important steps to convert ordinance factories into 7 Defence PSUs: President Ram Nath Kovind.

Hailed Indian performance at the Olympics

“We saw the capability of India’s youth power, in Tokyo Olympics. Giving its best-ever performance, India won 7 medals. In Tokyo Paralympics too, India won 19 medals & set a record,” President Ram Nath Kovind

“Since 2016, more than 60,000 start-ups set up in country in 56 different sectors leading to 6 lakh new jobs,” President Kovind

Equal status and opportunity for boys & girls

“Providing equal status to the sons and daughters, my Govt has presented the Bill to increase the minimum age of 18 years for women to get married and bring it to 21 years, just like that for men”, President of India
