After surprising fans with her visit to India, Bollywood’s beloved “Desi Girl” Priyanka Chopra dazzled in a vibrant magenta saree at her brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding celebration.
The intimate family affair, held on Friday, featured Priyanka alongside her mother, Madhu Chopra, and other relatives, with pictures from the event quickly going viral.
Priyanka’s choice of a stylish magenta saree was complemented by a layered pearl choker necklace and matching pearl earrings. She completed the elegant look with her hair styled in a neat bun. In several viral photos and videos from the event, Priyanka is seen delivering a heartfelt speech, adding a personal touch to the festivities.
Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s mother, also looked graceful in a lilac saree, while the bride and groom, Neelam Upadhyaya and Siddharth, were stunning in their western outfits. One of Priyanka’s family friends shared warm and intimate snapshots from the celebration, capturing the joyous occasion.
Priyanka’s arrival in India was met with great excitement, as she landed early Friday morning amidst a sea of waving fans and flashing cameras. Fresh off filming her upcoming movie The Bluff, Priyanka was spotted at Mumbai airport in a chic, casual ensemble, reflecting her effortless style.
Recently, Priyanka also attended the engagement of Siddharth and Neelam, where she was joined by her husband, Nick Jonas. The couple was last seen in India together at the star-studded wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, where Priyanka shared her joy on Instagram, reminiscing about the event. “Clearly, I missed chaats and dancing at baraats!” she wrote, delighting her followers with glimpses of the celebration.
With The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers, now completed, Priyanka is preparing for several exciting new projects. In the film, she portrays a former female pirate in a 19th-century Caribbean setting. Additionally, she will be starring alongside John Cena, Idris Elba, and Jack Quaid in the action-comedy Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller.
Priyanka’s fans are also eagerly awaiting the release of her Marathi film Paani, which is set for a big-screen debut on October 18. Directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures, the film tells the inspiring story of a man from a drought-stricken village who strives for water self-sufficiency. Originally released in 2019, Paani received the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation, further solidifying Priyanka’s impact as both an actress and producer.
