Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has dismissed rumors circulating about his alleged arrest in Dubai over a defamation complaint. Taking to Instagram, the singer clarified that all is well and denied the reports that had been spreading in certain sections of the Pakistani media.
In his Instagram video, Rahat stated, “I am Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, your Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. I have come to Dubai to record my songs… Everything is fine. I would like to request you not to pay heed to cheap rumors. There is no truth in what the enemies are thinking… I will return to my beloved country soon.”
The post was captioned, “News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards Team RFAK.”
Earlier, Pakistan’s Geo News reported that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had been arrested in Dubai due to a defamation complaint filed by his former manager, according to Dubai police sources. However, the news link later became inaccessible on the Geo News website.
