Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces 120 Allegations, Including Minors, in Sex Trafficking Case

October 10, 2024: Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is embroiled in serious legal challenges as he faces allegations from 120 individuals, including a 9-year-old boy, accusing him of sexual misconduct, trafficking, and racketeering. These allegations have surfaced as Combs awaits trial on the charges, with claims spanning from 1991 to 2023. The accusations centre around assaults, allegedly carried out under promises of making the victims “a star.”

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the accusers, stated during a recent press conference that one of the victims was 9 years old at the time of the alleged incident. As reported by AP on October 1, Buzbee explained that the child had been brought to an audition in New York with Bad Boy Records, where he was reportedly abused by Combs and others, with false promises of a record deal.

Buzbee described the broader allegations, emphasising the harmful impact on the victims, stating, “This conduct has created a mass of individuals who are injured, scared, and scarred.” He criticised the environment that allowed such actions to continue for so long, as captured in footage from TMZ.

Following these accusations, Erica Wolff, Combs’ attorney, responded, calling the claims “false and defamatory.” She asserted, “He looks forward to proving his innocence in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.” Wolff also referred to the growing attention around the case as a “reckless media circus.”

Buzbee further revealed that over 3,280 individuals have reached out to his firm, with 120 cases moving forward, while others remain under review. Some of these cases involve communication with the FBI. The accusers represent a range of states, including California, New York, Georgia, and Florida. According to Buzbee, many of the alleged incidents took place at events where victims were drugged and coerced.

Among the more disturbing allegations, another minor reportedly accused Combs of initiating secret meetings away from parental oversight and described instances of forced sexual acts, as detailed in court documents.

Combs, 54, has been in Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty on September 17 to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. According to the charges, he allegedly used his power and influence to coerce individuals into performing in drugged-up events termed “Freak Offs.”

The legal battles add another chapter to the tumultuous history of Diddy, a figure who has shaped the hip-hop industry with his influence. Founder of Bad Boy Records in 1993, he has been a prominent figure in music, fashion, and media, having collaborated with iconic artists like Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher. Despite his professional achievements, these allegations present a serious challenge to his reputation and legacy.
