Rashmika Mandanna defends her character in ‘Animal’

The response to the action-thriller movie “Animal” is overwhelming. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna discussed her role and thanked her fans for their overwhelming support of the film.
She wrote about her character, “Gitanjali,” and posted some behind-the-scenes photos from her movie on Instagram. She is the only thing keeping her family together at home, if I had to sum her up in one sentence. She is raw, strong, unadulterated, real, and pure. Being an actor, I would occasionally disagree with some of Gitanjali’s decisions. And I still recall my director telling me that this was the story of Ramanvijay and Gitanjali; their families, lives, love, and passion—this was who they were.”

Rashmika went on, “Gitanjali would bring peace, trust, and calm in a world full of all violence, hurt, and unbearable pain. She would ask her gods to protect her family, including her husband. She was the rock that survived every adversity. She was willing to go to any lengths to protect her family.”
She went on to discuss the similarities between her movie character and today’s strong, independent women. “Gitanjali is absolutely beautiful in my eyes, and in some ways she is like most women who are standing strong and protecting their families day in and day out..”

In only one week since its premiere, the movie has now successfully joined the Rs 300 crore club.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a picture to Instagram with the caption, “#Animal is SENSATIONAL… Packs an OUTSTANDING TOTAL in the first week…The third-biggest 7 days in history. Largest 7-day total for a non-holiday movie release. Largest 7-day total for a movie that had competition from another movie. #Animal is the highest-grossing ‘A’ certified movie. Mon 40.06 cr, Tue 34.02 cr, Wed 27.80 cr, Thu 22.35 cr, Sat 58.37 cr, Sun 63.46 cr. Rs 300.81 cr in total. Version in Hindi. #Boxoffice Nett BOC.”

The movie earned Rs 22.35 crore Nett in Hindi on Thursday, bringing its total Indian Hindi box office receipts to Rs 300.81 crore. Within a week of its release, the film has earned Rs 338.63 crore Nett in India across all languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam).
The biggest debut of Ranbir’s career is “Animal.”
Starring in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film are Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandana. Anil and Ranbir Kapoor portray a father-son relationship in the story. Ranbir’s persona appears to be threatening anyone who stands in the way of his love for his father because he is obnoxious and protective of his father’s love. The film, which lasted three hours and twenty-one minutes, was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
