Jake Fraser-McGurk and stand-in skipper Axar Patel were the standout performers for DC, scoring 21 and 57 runs respectively. Shai Hope also contributed with 29 runs, but the quick loss of wickets derailed their chase.
Reflecting on the match, Yash Dayal captured the winning moment by dismissing Kuldeep Yadav at the start of the last over, sealing the game for RCB.
The first innings saw DC opting to bowl first, a decision that initially seemed to favor them as they restricted RCB to a competitive total. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis opened the batting for RCB but were unable to convert their starts into a substantial innings.
Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar added crucial runs to the board, with Jacks scoring 41 and Patidar 52, but their dismissals saw a slowdown in the scoring rate. Cameron Green and Mahipal Lomror later stabilized the innings, pushing the total to 187/9.
