The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has debuted the first footage of Riff Raff, an eagerly awaited crime-comedy featuring an impressive ensemble cast led by Bill Murray and Pete Davidson.
The footage was also released on Signature Entertainment’s YouTube channel ahead of the film’s world premiere at TIFF on September 9. Directed by Dito Montiel and written by John Pollono, the film promises a blend of humor and suspense with a unique narrative.
Bill Murray stars as Vincent, a former criminal trying to enjoy a quiet life with his family. However, things take a wild turn when his estranged son, Rocco, along with his girlfriend Marina and Vincent’s ex-wife Ruth, arrive with a warning: two gangsters, Leftie and Lonnie, are on their way. This intrusion threatens the peaceful winter getaway Vincent is having with his wife Sandy and their son DJ in a remote cabin.
Alongside Murray and Davidson, the film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Jennifer Coolidge, Ed Harris, Gabrielle Union, Lewis Pullman, Miles J. Harvey, and Emanuela Postacchini. The film is produced by Noah Rothman, Marc Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, and Adam Paulsen, with executive producers from Canopy Media Partners, Capstone, and other production companies.
Riff Raff is already generating buzz for its intriguing mix of crime and comedy, promising an exciting watch with its dynamic cast and storytelling.
