Johannesburg [South Africa]: Legendary South African batter AB de Villiers has commended young Indian middle-order batter Rinku Singh, hailing him as a match-winner. AB emphasized the importance of consistency in winning games and expressed delight in seeing Rinku evolve into a reliable player.

Rinku Singh, known for his finishing skills in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Indian team, has earned acclaim for his performances. AB de Villiers, speaking on his YouTube channel, acknowledged Rinku’s fantastic abilities and highlighted the significance of being a consistent player who contributes to team victories.

AB de Villiers also commented on the dramatic third T20I between India and Afghanistan, which featured two Super Overs. Reflecting on the match, AB noted the unusual situation where a player cannot bat again if declared out in the first Super Over. In the match itself, India, led by Rohit Sharma (121*) and Rinku Singh (69*), posted a challenging total of 212/4 after being reduced to 22/4. Afghanistan, in their chase, saw notable performances from Gurbaz, Zadran, Naib, and Nabi, resulting in a tied match. The subsequent Super Overs added to the drama, with India ultimately winning the series 3-0.

Rohit Sharma received the ‘Player of the Match’ award, while Shivam Dube was honored with the ‘Player of the Series’ award for his contributions with both bat and ball. The thrilling encounter showcased the resilience and entertainment value of T20 cricket.
