Rohit Sharma Praises Sri Lanka After ODI Series Loss

India captain Rohit Sharma firmly dismissed any notions of complacency from his team following their unexpected defeat in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Speaking after the series concluded in Colombo, Rohit acknowledged Sri Lanka’s exceptional performances which led to their historic series win.

Despite India’s strong showing in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, where they achieved a clean sweep, the shift to the ODI format saw a dramatic turnaround. Sri Lanka’s spinners dominated throughout the three-match series, exploiting the favorable conditions in Colombo to their advantage.

He pointed out that the team needed to focus on areas of improvement rather than just the positives. “We lost the series, and I feel there are a lot of areas we need to look at rather than the positives,” he added. Rohit reaffirmed his confidence in the team’s abilities, mentioning their consistent performance over the years despite the occasional series loss.
