Russian Tennis player writes “No War Please” on TV camera after win

Andrey Rublev, a Russian tennis player, wrote “No War Please” on a television camera moments after reaching the final of the Dubai Championships on Friday.

Rublev, who is ranked seventh in the world, had just defeated Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5) in their semifinal when he put his message on the camera, as is usual after matches.

Russian troops stormed Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, on Friday, igniting fears of a wider European conflict and prompting international pressure on Russia to stop.
