The trailer launch event for “Angry Young Men” took place in Mumbai, graced by the presence of industry stalwarts like Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan, and their families. Produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media & Entertainment, and Tiger Baby, the docuseries not only highlights the partnership’s cinematic achievements but also serves as a tribute to their legacy. Salman Khan, who has expressed a deep admiration for both his father Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, called the series a “tribute to their creative brilliance.”

“Angry Young Men” delves into the making of 22 Bollywood films and two Kannada films that bear the signature style of Salim-Javed, known for creating the “angry young man” hero that became a staple in Indian cinema. Their collaboration, which began in the early 1970s, eventually set a new benchmark for screenplay writing in Bollywood.

Ritesh Sidhwani, Reema Kagti, and Farhan Akhtar, who are also executive producers of the series, attended the launch, expressing their excitement over the release.
