Salman Khan Attends ‘Heeramandi’ Screening in Style

Salman Khan, the Bollywood icon, made a striking appearance at the high-profile screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited web series, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ held in Mumbai.

Dressed in a sleek ensemble comprising white printed trousers and a black shirt, Khan exuded his signature charm as he posed effortlessly for the shutterbugs, adding a touch of glamour to the event.

The star-studded affair witnessed the presence of various celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Fardeen Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Anand L Rai, Anupam Kher, Kapil Sharma, among others.
‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ unfolds against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle in the 1940s, offering an enthralling narrative of love, power, revenge, and freedom, set in the heart of Heeramandi.

Bhansali Productions teased audiences with the trailer on their official Instagram handle, showcasing the opulent yet tumultuous world of Heeramandi. The caption hinted at the emotional saga awaiting viewers, replete with love, loss, and liberation.

The intriguing trailer introduces viewers to the multifaceted characters residing in Heeramandi, Lahore, during British India’s reign. Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) oversees an aristocratic courtesan house until the arrival of Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha), her late nemesis’ daughter, triggers upheaval.
Amidst the turmoil, Mallikajaan’s daughter, Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari), joins the revolutionary movement for India’s independence, while her youngest son, Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal), dreams of escaping Heeramandi’s clutches.

The series promises to intertwine historical events with personal struggles, as Mallikajaan and Fareedan engage in a fierce battle for Heeramandi’s throne.
‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ is slated for release on May 1, marking Bhansali’s much-anticipated digital debut. The stellar cast also includes Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s recent attendance at the screening comes amidst concerns following an incident of firing outside his residence in Mumbai. Family members, including brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and brother Arbaaz Khan, have expressed solidarity and cooperation with the authorities in investigating the matter.
The Delhi crime branch officials have also initiated inquiries into the incident, interrogating the two accused arrested in connection with the case, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, in Mumbai for about three hours.
