Salman Khan Joins MS Dhoni’s Midnight Birthday Bash, Wishes “Kaptaan Sahab”

Star cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his 43rd birthday at midnight with wife Sakshi Dhoni and a few close friends in Mumbai. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan also attended the late-night celebration. Salman took to social media to share a candid picture from Dhoni’s cake-cutting ceremony, capturing the camaraderie between the two stars.

“Happy Birthday Kaptaan Sahab! @msdhoni,” Salman captioned the post, showing his admiration for the cricket legend.

A video circulating on the internet shows Dhoni feeding his birthday cake to Salman, further highlighting the warm bond between them.

Dhoni is renowned worldwide for his calm demeanor and exceptional leadership skills, both in international cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). On August 15, 2020, he retired from all forms of cricket, concluding an illustrious career marked by numerous accolades.

Under Dhoni’s captaincy, India achieved significant milestones, including leading the Test rankings for 18 months starting December 2009, winning the 50-over World Cup in 2011, and clinching the T20 World Cup in 2007 on his captaincy debut. His journey from a railway station ticket collector to one of India’s greatest cricket captains is truly inspiring.

Dhoni debuted internationally in 2004, quickly gaining a reputation as a powerful hitter before evolving into a strategic finisher known for his calculated aggression and remarkable tactics. He played 98 T20Is for India, scoring 1,617 runs with an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 126.13. In Tests, Dhoni scored 4,876 runs in 90 matches with an average of 38.09, including six centuries and 33 half-centuries.

As captain, Dhoni led India in 60 Test matches, securing 27 wins, 18 losses, and 15 draws. With a win percentage of 45.00, he is among India’s most successful skippers, guiding the team to the number one ranking in ICC Test Rankings. He also led India to a whitewash victory over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2010-11 and 2012-13.

In T20Is, Dhoni led India in 72 matches, winning 41, losing 28, with one tie and two no-results, boasting a win percentage of 56.94. He also steered Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles and two Champions League T20 titles.

Dhoni’s IPL career is equally impressive, playing 264 matches and scoring 5,243 runs at an average of 39.13, with 24 half-centuries, 152 catches, and 42 stumpings.

The midnight celebration also saw the presence of celebrities like Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Hardik Pandya, adding star power to the event held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. The festivities continue for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, culminating in a grand wedding ceremony with traditional Hindu Vedic customs.

Dhoni’s fans and friends celebrated his birthday, cherishing the memories of his outstanding career and looking forward to more joyous occasions.
