Salman Khan Receives New Threat Over Song Linking Him to Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

November 8, 2024: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has received yet another threat, this time over a song that reportedly associates his name with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The threat was sent to Mumbai’s traffic control room around midnight on Thursday, raising fresh security concerns for the actor, who has faced multiple threats in recent months.

The message referenced a song that allegedly includes the names of both Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi, warning that the songwriter responsible would face severe consequences within a month. The message stated ominously, “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he won’t be able to write songs anymore. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should protect them.”

This latest threat adds to a series of security concerns linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and his network. Bishnoi, who has a history of animosity towards Khan, has previously targeted the actor due to grievances related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, a sensitive issue for the Bishnoi community.

In a related development, a 32-year-old man named Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, was recently arrested in Karnataka’s Haveri in connection with prior threats against Khan. Originally from Rajasthan, Bhikha Ram was handed over to Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for questioning. During his interrogation, Bhikha Ram reportedly expressed admiration for Lawrence Bishnoi, whom he considers his “idol.” He allegedly intended to use a ransom demand of ₹5 crore to construct a temple for the Bishnoi community.

In a separate case, Mumbai Police are investigating a death threat and an extortion demand of ₹50 lakh targeting actor Shah Rukh Khan. The call, made to Bandra Police, was traced to a phone registered in the name of Raipur-based lawyer Faizan Khan. Faizan, who reported his phone stolen on November 2, believes he is being used in a larger conspiracy.

Faizan Khan had previously raised objections against Shah Rukh Khan for a line in the 1994 film Anjaam that referenced deer hunting—a highly sensitive subject for the Bishnoi community. He was questioned by Mumbai Police in Raipur on Thursday as part of the ongoing investigation.

The escalation of threats against both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan highlights the increasing security challenges faced by Bollywood stars, especially when linked to sensitive issues that stir strong sentiments.
