At the age of 71, Hollywood actor Peter Crombie, best known for portraying “Crazy” Joe Davola in “Seinfeld” season four, passed away. Nadine Kijner, the actor’s ex-wife, announced Crombie’s passing on social media on Wednesday morning. The Hollywood Reporter claims that she later revealed to TMZ that he had a brief illness but withheld any other information.
Instagram users saw Kijner’s post, “It is with shock and extreme sadness that I share my Ex-husband died this morning,” along with pictures from their wedding. “Thank you for being such a good man and for so many amazing memories. Fly free into the Un-boundless source of light, Peter. Oliver and your parents will greet you with love. You were a creative, generous, loving, and kind soul, and for that reason, so many people loved you.”
Crombie made a recurring appearance as “Crazy” Joe Davola in season four of Seinfeld in 1992, where his character frightens and threatens Jerry Seinfeld over the course of five episodes. In the 1997 miniseries “House of Frankenstein,” he also portrayed Frankenstein’s Creature. He also appeared on different shows such as ‘Perfect Strangers’, ‘American Playhouse,’ ‘As the World Turns’, ‘H.E.L.P.’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’, ‘L.A. Law’, ‘L.A. Firefighters’, ‘Picket Fences,’ ‘NYPD Blue and Walker,’ ‘Texas Ranger’, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
