Shahid Kapoor, recognized for his stellar acting and remarkable dance moves, commemorated International Dance Day by treating fans to a nostalgic glimpse of his dancing avatar.
Since his debut in ‘Ishq Vishk’ in 2003, Shahid has enthralled audiences not only with his acting prowess but also with his versatile dancing skills. Interestingly, his journey in the entertainment industry began as a background dancer in iconic films like ‘Dil Toh Paagal Hai’ and ‘Taal’ before he transitioned to a lead actor. He honed his dancing talents under the tutelage of renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar at his dance institute.
In celebration of International Dance Day, Shahid shared a throwback video from his dance rehearsals for Zee Cine Awards 2024, showcasing his impeccable dance moves.
“Beat pe Feat #InternationalDanceDay,” he captioned the post, encapsulating the essence of the occasion.
While dance remains an integral part of his artistic journey, Shahid’s upcoming project ‘Deva’ promises to showcase his acting prowess in an action-packed avatar. Directed by filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, ‘Deva’ features Shahid alongside Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. Helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, known for Malayalam hits like ‘Salute’ and ‘Kayamkulam Kochunni,’ the film is slated to hit theaters on Dussehra in October this year.
Shahid’s last cinematic outing, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,’ directed by debutant filmmakers Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, portrayed him as a man who falls in love with a robot named Sifra (played by Kriti Sanon). While the film received mixed reviews, Shahid’s performance was widely appreciated by audiences and critics alike.
