At the IIFA 2024 held in Abu Dhabi, Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor in a Leading Role for his stellar performance in Jawan.

The film, directed by Atlee, was an action-packed thriller that also starred Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi. SRK’s portrayal of a vigilante battling corruption captivated audiences worldwide, contributing to the film’s incredible success, which grossed over ₹1000 crore globally.

During the awards ceremony, SRK’s gracious gesture of touching the feet of filmmaker Mani Ratnam and sharing a warm hug with music maestro AR Rahman further endeared him to his fans. This gesture symbolized the respect and humility that have been hallmarks of SRK’s career.

This win follows his earlier blockbuster, Pathaan, which released in January 2023 and became one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema. After a four-year hiatus, SRK’s return to the screen with Pathaan and Jawan has redefined box office success, with both films breaking records and reviving his dominance in Bollywood.

At the event, SRK hosted alongside Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar, and the trio entertained the audience with lively performances, including a dance to hit track, Their playful energy made the night even more memorable.
