Singham Again Eyes ₹200 Crore Mark Globally in Opening Weekend Despite Dip in Collections

November 5, 2024: Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s high-octane cop drama, Singham Again, has made an impressive start at the box office, crossing ₹100 crore in India within just three days. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned ₹35 crore on Sunday, bringing its domestic total to ₹121 crore. Despite a gradual dip in daily collections, the film is steadily advancing towards the ₹200 crore mark globally.

The movie opened to a robust ₹43.5 crore in India on Friday, fueled by the Diwali holiday buzz. Collections dipped slightly to ₹42.5 crore on Saturday, and Sunday saw a further reduction in earnings. However, strong occupancy rates throughout Sunday—ranging from 27.29% in the morning to 69.64% in the evening—kept the film’s momentum going.

The Singham franchise, which began with Singham (2011), has since expanded into Rohit Shetty’s iconic cop universe. This includes Singham Returns, Simmba with Ranveer Singh, and Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar. Singham Again now holds the record for the highest opening weekend within this universe, collecting ₹77.5 crore domestically over its debut weekend.

While Singham Again has capitalized on the Diwali holiday surge, industry experts suggest that the film’s real box-office strength will be tested on its first Monday.
