The makers of ‘Maharaj,’ starring Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari, have unveiled a rendition of the devotional song ‘Achutham Keshavam’ sung by music maestro Sonu Nigam. The song has been garnering appreciation since its release, marking a return to heartfelt spiritual music in cinema.
Yash Raj Films shared the song video on Instagram, captioning it, “#AchutamKeshavam song out now!” The video features emotional scenes of Junaid and Shalini Pandey.
Sonu Nigam expressed his joy in creating the song, saying, “I’ve had a beautiful connection with Yashraj films and value my personal equation with Yash ji. Anything related to YRF is special for me. I’m glad Achyutam Keshwam happened for Maharaj. Singing for Aamir’s son’s debut and my friend Siddharth Malhotra’s directorial venture makes it all the more memorable.”
Directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment, ‘Maharaj’ follows the journey of social reformer Karsandas Mulji in pre-independence India. The film, based on true events from 1862, has been praised for its compelling storytelling and powerful performances. ‘Maharaj’ is currently streaming on Netflix.
