As anticipation builds for the new film “Fateh,” Sonu Sood is keeping the buzz alive by sharing behind-the-scenes (BTS) glimpses from the edit room. On Monday, the actor took to Instagram, posting pictures that captured the ongoing work, captioned with, “F A T E H. Be ready to get blown away. Work in progress.” This update quickly drew an enthusiastic response from his fans, filling the comments section with excitement.
The momentum for “Fateh” was initially sparked by a recently released teaser, which Sonu Sood shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account. The teaser, promising intense action, begins with the bold statement, ‘Never underestimate a nobody.’ It features a chilling voiceover by Sonu Sood, where he corrects someone about the number of people he killed, saying, “You’ll never find those ten bodies,” and solemnly adds, “Bhagvaan unki atma ko shanti de.”
Alongside the teaser, Sood wrote, “AA RAHA HOON..Action speaks louder than words. #Fateh! Brace yourselves for the biggest action-packed thriller!” “Fateh” draws its inspiration from real-life cybercrime incidents that escalated during the Covid-pandemic. The film boasts a high-profile team including top names from Hollywood as the director of photography, research team, and action choreographers.
In an interview, Sood revealed the personal connection that led to the creation of “Fateh.” He recounted how, during his pandemic-era humanitarian efforts, he discovered that scamsters were exploiting his name to deceive people. “The idea for ‘Fateh’ came into my mind when I was helping people and came to know that many people were being fooled and cheated in my name,” Sood explained, detailing how these scams involved false loans and promises.
He added, “It was then I realized that this cybercrime is a big issue in our country. It is very important to take action on it. Thus the journey of ‘Fateh’, the film I am doing started from this experience.”
“Fateh” also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and marks Sonu Sood’s directorial debut. The film is a production of Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions and is slated for release this year.
