Hyderabad Star Shines In Vijay Hazare Trophy
January 6, 2026: Hyderabad opener Aman Rao stunned everyone with an unbeaten 200 against Bengal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Rajkot. The 21 year old smashed 12 fours and 13 sixes to reach the milestone in 154 balls and dominated bowlers like Mohammed Shami Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar.
Born in Wisconsin and raised in Hyderabad Aman showcased his aggressive batting style and immense composure. Recently picked by Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2026 the youngster has impressed across formats with strong domestic performances including a fifty against Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Aman became the first Hyderabad batter to score a double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy and the ninth overall in tournament history. He is also the second player this season to achieve the feat after Swastik Samal underlining his rapid rise in Indian cricket.
