Arshdeep Singh “Feels Great” On Being Named ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer Of The Year

January 25, 2025: Arshdeep Singh’s achievement in winning the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year 2024 is well-deserved! His contributions throughout the year, especially in the T20 World Cup, were nothing short of outstanding. Taking 17 wickets in the tournament and being a key figure in India’s title win is a testament to his growth as a player and his consistency at the highest level.

His performance against South Africa in the World Cup final was particularly memorable, where he played a critical role in both the middle and death overs. The pressure was immense, but Arshdeep held his composure and delivered when it mattered most, conceding just four runs in his final over. That moment was a defining one for the Indian team in the tournament, and it highlighted his mental strength as much as his skill.

It’s also great to see him crediting the support system around him, including the sports staff and fellow players, which shows his humility. With his ability to take wickets at key moments and maintain control during crunch situations, Arshdeep has truly emerged as one of India’s most reliable bowlers in T20 cricket.

His record of 36 wickets in just 18 games in 2024 is phenomenal, and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop in the coming years.
