March 5, 2025: Virat Kohli once again showcased his unmatched ability to perform under pressure, playing a pivotal role in India’s thrilling four-wicket victory over Australia in the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. Kohli’s knock of 84 off 98 balls was instrumental in guiding India to a crucial win, securing their spot in the final of the prestigious tournament.

After the match, Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, expressed his admiration for the star batter’s consistency and composure, particularly in high-pressure games. Sharma praised Kohli's mental strength and his knack for thriving in tough situations, stating, "He is called King Kohli because I have always said that he is 'bade match ka bada player.' He showed that yesterday too, against Australia. The tougher the competition, the better he bats. Mentally, he is very strong. Class is permanent, form is temporary. Everyone knows his contribution to Indian cricket, and how many matches he has made the country win."
