
Bangladesh win toss, decide to field first against India: ICC Under 19 World Cup
On Saturday at the Under 19 World Cup 2024 in Bloemfontein, the Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby-led Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first against Uday Saharan’s India. The tournament’s third match will pit the 2020 winners Bangladesh against the reigning champions India. To begin the grand tournament with a victory, both teams will unite. Arshin Kulkarni of the Men in Blue will be vital to the competition.
He is an all-round player with quick bowling speed who is renowned for his huge hitting skills. He has scored two half-centuries and amassed 206 runs at an average of 51.50 in his last five innings for the India U19 team. He has also amassed 147 runs in five T20 innings at a strike rate of over 163. He has taken five wickets in five ODIs, compared to just four in his T20 career thus far.
Uday, who is the oldest player in the team at 19, will lead the U19 team. When India fights Bangladesh, he will be 19 years and 97 days old. Uday has amassed 197 runs in six innings at a 39.40 average, including a century and a fifty, in seven One-Day Internationals thus far.
