Barcelona Set to Sign Swedish Prodigy Roony Bardghji From Copenhagen
June 22, 2025: Barcelona are reportedly closing in on the signing of highly rated Swedish teenager Roony Bardghji from Danish side FC Copenhagen. The 19-year-old winger, often referred to as a “Swedish wonderkid,” is expected to make the move to Camp Nou next month as part of the club’s summer transfer window reinforcements.
According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer is currently in its “final stages,” with both parties working to finalize the remaining contractual details in the coming days.
Bardghji, whose contract with Copenhagen expires in December 2025, has informed the Danish club that he does not intend to renew. This decision has opened the door for Barcelona to acquire the rising star for a relatively modest fee in the current window, rather than wait for a free transfer in the winter.
Despite interest from several top European clubs, Bardghji has reportedly chosen Barcelona as his next destination, fulfilling a childhood dream of playing for the club he supported growing up.
If confirmed, Bardghji will join goalkeeper Joan Garcia as one of the new young arrivals at Barcelona this summer. The club is also pursuing a move for Spanish winger Nico Williams, further signaling their intent to build a dynamic and youthful squad for the upcoming season.
