Filmmaker Kunal Kohli has stirred discussion among cricket fans after labeling Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) as the “most boring” teams in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.

His comments came after the opening clash between the two sides, where DC secured a six-wicket win over LSG in a low-scoring encounter. Kohli took to social media to share his opinion, stating that despite liking some players in both squads, he finds their overall gameplay less exciting compared to other franchises.

CSK Remains Competitive Even Without MS Dhoni

Kohli also spoke about Chennai Super Kings (CSK), calling them a “tough contender” even in the absence of their iconic leader MS Dhoni. However, he admitted that Dhoni’s presence significantly boosts the team’s appeal, saying he would even watch practice sessions if Dhoni is playing.

Other Teams Kohli Enjoys Watching

The director added that he enjoys watching teams like Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He also expressed newfound interest in Rajasthan Royals (RR), particularly due to young talent making an impact this season.

Kohli’s remarks reflect personal viewing preferences, but as the tournament progresses, performances and fan perceptions may evolve.
