Captain Suryakumar Yadav Viral Tweet Captures the Mood Ahead Of Asia Cup 2025
Team India, led by T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, has landed in Dubai for the Asia Cup 2025. A viral tweet from the skipper, captioned “The honour is mine, the journey is ours,” has energized fans ahead of the highly anticipated tournament.
September 6, 2025: The Indian men’s cricket team is in Dubai for the Asia Cup 2025. The tournament will run from September 9 to 28 and will be contested in T20I format. The squad had its first practice on Friday, September 5, at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Suryakumar Yadav was in charge.
Suryakumar Yadav posted on X (previously Twitter) after he got there. He shared four photographs from the team’s training session and wrote, “The honor is mine, the journey is ours, here we go.” The post spread swiftly, getting supporters excited for the competition.
The practice session got a lot of attention, especially as it was the first time in a month that important players were back after the Test series in England. Jasprit Bumrah, who will head the pace attack, was a big deal because he came back to the team after a 40-day break. Head coach Gautam Gambhir led the practice, which included long batting and conditioning drills for players like Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, and Hardik Pandya. The squad practiced in shirts without logos, which is interesting because they don’t have a main sponsor right now since their contract with Dream11 ended.
The UAE will be the team’s first opponent on September 10. On September 14, there will be a highly anticipated encounter versus arch-rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
