Commanders' Rookie Madden 26 Ratings Revealed — Who's Leading The Pack?
July 30, 2025: For football fans, the start of training camp heralds the imminent return of the regular season, bringing with it the excitement of seeing carefully crafted team plans come to life on the field. For gamers, this period also signals the highly anticipated annual release of the Madden NFL video game. As individual player ratings for the upcoming Madden 26 have been gradually unveiled this week, fans now have a first look at how the Washington Commanders’ five-player draft class stacks up in the virtual world. The rookie ratings were officially released on July 29th.

It comes as little surprise that offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr., the Commanders’ first-round pick, and cornerback Trey Amos, their second-round selection, are the team’s highest-rated rookies. However, what might catch some off guard is that Amos, with a 75 overall rating, slightly edged out Conerly. This is particularly notable given that Amos was taken later in the second round, at No. 61 overall.
Despite his draft position, the Commanders themselves reportedly viewed Amos as a first-round talent, and he has seemingly performed to that expectation during the initial week of training camp while working with the starting defense. In Madden 26, Amos is tied with Benjamin Morrison for the fourth-best rating among all rookie cornerbacks, placing him just behind Maxwell Hairston, Jahdae Barron, and Travis Hunter. His virtual athleticism also shines with strong ratings in speed (92), agility (83), and change of direction (82).
Meanwhile, Josh Conerly Jr. enters Madden 26 as the third-best rookie right tackle and the fifth-best rookie tackle overall in the game. While he might take more time to earn a starting spot on the actual Commanders’ offensive line, given that most positions are already filled, his early training camp moments have shown promising signs of growth. The Commanders drafted Conerly based on his athletic traits, and these are reflected in his Madden ratings; his agility rating (70) is the fourth best among rookie offensive tackles, and his awareness rating (73) also ranks fourth among his peers.
Fans eager to get their hands on the full game can mark their calendars: Madden 26 is set to release on August 14th. This initial peek at the rookie ratings only adds to the excitement for both the upcoming NFL season and the latest installment of the popular football simulation.
