🏏 Inzamam-ul-Haq Warns Sunil Gavaskar Over Pakistan Criticism: "Mind Your Words"
March 10, 2025: Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has issued a stern warning to Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar after the latter claimed that even India’s B team could challenge Pakistan. Inzamam, visibly upset by Gavaskar’s remarks, urged the former Indian skipper to be more respectful while talking about another cricketing nation.
Speaking on a Pakistani show, Inzamam criticized Gavaskar’s statement, emphasizing that every team deserves respect:
“Gavaskar sahab should look at the stats. He is a senior and someone we respect, but making such statements about another team isn’t fair. You have every right to praise your team, but please be mindful of your words.”
Gavaskar, speaking after India’s victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025 league stage, said:

“I believe that even India’s backup squad could challenge Pakistan. As for a third-string side, I’m not entirely sure. But a B team would certainly be a tough opponent for them.”
