
2nd ODI: Mohammad Rizwan Expresses Satisfaction With The Team's Performance After Win Over Australia
November 8, 2024: After Pakistan’s dominant performance in the second ODI against Australia, captain Mohammad Rizwan praised his team’s bowlers for their excellent display, which helped them restrict Australia to just 163 runs.

Haris Rauf was the standout performer, taking 5 wickets for 29 runs in his 8-over spell, while Shaheen Afridi made a successful return to form with 3 wickets. Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah also contributed with one wicket each, making it a comprehensive team effort.
In his post-match presentation, Rizwan expressed his satisfaction with the bowling unit’s performance and their ability to turn the game in Pakistan’s favour. “Hopefully, we keep this confidence going forward to Perth,” Rizwan said, acknowledging the importance of building on this victory ahead of the third ODI. He also noted the team’s positive mindset after opting to bowl first following the toss.
The Pakistan captain was full of praise for Haris Rauf, whose fiery spell was a highlight of the match. Rizwan said, “A win is a win. We decided to bowl after winning the toss. Our bowlers bowled well and we found success. Everyone is enjoying his (Haris Rauf’s) bowling. Not only fans from Pakistan, but also from all around the world, everyone enjoys watching him bowl.”
