June 4, 2025: England’s opening duo, Amy Jones and Tammy Beaumont, delivered a commanding batting display, piling on an unbeaten 163-run partnership by the 23rd over against England Women vs West Indies Women in an ODI thriller.

Jones, in red-hot form, reached her second ODI hundred in just six days, and this one came with flair — a brilliant century off just 76 balls, studded with 16 fours all around the ground. Her confidence and clean striking showed a rare international dominance. Remarkably, Jones waited 4501 days since her debut to notch her first century, and the second followed just a week later.

Moments before reaching her ton, Jones launched Karishma Ramharack for a high drive over the off-side — only stopped by a stunning save from Fraser. But there was no stopping her; the very next delivery was crisply punched through extra cover to seal her fabulous hundred.
At the other end, Tammy Beaumont brought up her half-century from 64 balls, after a brief dry spell. Though struggling to rotate strike mid-innings, Beaumont remained composed, seeing off a review scare when an LBW appeal against her was overturned — ball tracking showed the delivery would have missed off stump.
As the partnership soared past 150 without loss, England Women vs West Indies Women began eyeing their record ODI score of 378/5, set in 2016 against Pakistan. With Jones rampaging and Beaumont ready to accelerate, the stage is set for another historic total.
