January 12, 2025: Amid swirling rumours about a possible separation between cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma, Uorfi Javed has stepped forward to defend Dhanashree. The social media influencer criticised the gendered bias that often villainises women in such situations, especially when it involves high-profile figures like cricketers.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Uorfi reacted to a video that accused Dhanashree of “ruining” Chahal’s life. She expressed frustration over the recurring trend of targeting women whenever a cricketer’s relationship faces trouble.

Uorfi Speaks Out Against Gender Bias

“Every time a cricketer is breaking up or getting divorced, the woman is bashed left, right, and center just because in our heads, our cricketer is our hero. None of us know what happened between the two, not even in cases like Natasha and Hardik’s, but of course, it’s the woman who is at fault,” Uorfi wrote.

She also brought up the infamous case where Anushka Sharma was unfairly blamed for Virat Kohli’s poor performance on the cricket field. “Oh, and don’t forget when Anushka was blamed for Virat’s bad performances. So it’s always the woman who is to be blamed for the man’s actions? These are grown men with fully functioning brains who know what they are doing,” Uorfi added, showing solidarity with Dhanashree.

Dhanashree Responds to Rumors

Dhanashree Verma, known for her stint on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and her career as a dentist-turned-choreographer, has been the target of baseless rumors hinting at marital discord with Yuzvendra Chahal. The couple, who got married in December 2020, has been silent on the matter, choosing not to confirm or deny the reports.

In a note shared on Instagram Stories, Dhanashree addressed the negativity without directly referencing the separation rumors. “The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate,” she wrote.

“I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others,” she added, urging for empathy amidst the speculation.

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal’s relationship had been celebrated by fans since their engagement in August 2020. However, recent events, including the duo unfollowing each other on Instagram, sparked rumors of marital trouble.
