
Hazlewood hails Shamar Joseph's performance against Australia in 1st Test
After Australia thrashed the West Indies by ten wickets in the opening Test match in Adelaide on Friday, Josh Hazlewood, a fast, praised Caribbean pacer Shamar Joseph and said he had a great debut. Hazlewood made a joke after the first Test match, saying, “Nice to have the weekend off,” after the third day’s play concluded. In response to a question regarding his performance, Joseph said that it was good that the Caribbean pacer had dismissed Steve Smith with his opening delivery. He went on to say that the new ball will be used extensively in the second Test match in Brisbane.

The 24-year-old appeared ready to play a few more strokes, but Nathan Lyon’s spin beat him. West Indies scored 120 runs, leaving the hosts with a meager goal of just 26.
