IPL 2025: Star-Studded Commentary Panel Announced With Kane Williamson, AB de Villiers, Shane Watson and More

March 22, 2025: As the highly anticipated 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicks off on Saturday, the organizers have revealed an exciting and star-studded commentary panel. This year’s lineup includes several legendary cricketing names, ensuring that the viewing experience is as thrilling off the field as it is on it.

Among the most notable inclusions is Kane Williamson, who will make his debut as a commentator and expert for IPL 2025. The former New Zealand captain, known for his calm demeanor and impeccable batting skills, will be offering his insights during the matches. Williamson, who previously played for Gujarat Titans, is set to provide expert commentary alongside other big names, including AB de Villiers, Shane Watson, and Virender Sehwag.

Fans can enjoy innovative viewing options like the multi-cam feed, featuring popular choices such as Hero Cam, Stump Cam, Batter Cam, and Bird’s Eye Cam. In addition to the traditional feeds, this season introduces the “Hangout feed,” where fans can experience IPL action with a quirky and light-hearted twist. This new feed is designed to attract a wider audience, including those who may not be traditional cricket fans, making it an exciting addition for first-time viewers.

IPL 2025 also debuts with features like MaxView, Live Audio Descriptive, and Indian Sign Language, ensuring that the cricket action is accessible to all fans, regardless of their needs.

The season opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will set the tone for what promises to be a thrilling tournament, with the first match taking place at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens.
