IPL 2025: Rachin Ravindra Calls It An ‘Honour’ To Open For CSK After Match-Winning Fifty Against MI

March 24, 2025; After delivering a match-winning performance for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, left-hand batter Rachin Ravindra expressed how special it is for him to open for the five-time IPL champions. Ravindra’s unbeaten knock of 65 runs from 45 balls, featuring four sixes and two boundaries, helped CSK post a competitive total. He scored at an impressive strike rate of 144.44 and batted until the final ball of CSK’s innings at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.

In the post-match press conference, Ravindra reflected on the history of CSK’s opening batters, acknowledging the incredible legacy of players who have opened for the franchise. “A few days ago, I guess, and Flem’s [head coach Stephen Fleming] quite good at those comms.
