IPL 2025: Sai Sudarshan Calls Siraj 'Game-changer' Following Win Over RCB
April 3, 2025: Gujarat Titans’ opener Sai Sudharsan has heaped praise on pacer Mohammed Siraj for his match-winning performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their IPL 2025 clash on Wednesday.
Siraj, returning to Chinnaswamy Stadium in GT colors, produced a brilliant three-wicket haul that helped Gujarat Titans bowl out RCB and comfortably chase down a target of 170, securing an impressive eight-wicket victory.
Speaking in a video posted on the official IPL website, featuring GT batting coach Parthiv Patel, Sudharsan was all praise for Siraj, describing him as a “game-changer.” “I only believe in Siraj bhai. He is a game-changer. The attitude and energy he brings, it changes the whole team. I enjoyed it. I had a feeling he would have a great game because he is a game-changer,” Sudharsan said.
Siraj’s exceptional performance was a key factor in Gujarat’s success, as his energy and fire on the field gave his team the upper hand. His return to the stadium, where he previously played for RCB, added another layer of excitement to an already intense encounter.
Sudharsan himself played a crucial role with the bat, scoring 49 runs off 36 balls. Reflecting on his knock, he said, “Feels great. Always great to contribute for the team and getting those two points. The first two games they played really well. It is a great boost for us to beat the team which is in a good rhythm, and hope we continue to play the way we play.”
With 186 runs in three matches, Sudharsan currently holds the second-highest run tally in the tournament. His remarkable form includes two half-centuries and a strike rate of over 157. His best score so far this season is an impressive 74.
When asked about the atmosphere within the Gujarat Titans camp, Sudharsan described it as feeling more like a family than a typical IPL setup. “It does not feel like an IPL set-up,” he added, highlighting the close-knit nature of the team, which has contributed to their strong performances early in the tournament.
With a solid all-around performance, Gujarat Titans continue to build momentum, and Sudharsan’s form, along with Siraj’s fiery spells, is certainly one of the key factors behind their success.
