IPL 2025: SRH, HCA Resolve Issues Over Complimentary Pass Allocation
April 2, 2025: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) have resolved the recent issues regarding the allocation of complimentary passes at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The matter was discussed in a meeting convened by HCA Secretary R Devraj, which saw the attendance of SRH officials including Kiran, Saravanan, and Rohit Suresh.
The talks primarily centered on ensuring that the existing tri-party agreement between SRH, HCA, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is followed strictly. SRH proposed that 10% of the stadium capacity across all sections be allocated in line with the agreement. In response, HCA proposed to maintain the long-standing allocation system, which has been practiced for years.
After thorough discussions and additional consultations between SRH CEO Shanmugam and HCA officials, it was decided that the category allocation of 3900 complimentary passes to HCA would remain unchanged. Both parties expressed their commitment to working together professionally, aiming to enhance the spectator experience at the stadium.
This resolution comes after a series of reports about tensions between the two bodies, but both SRH and HCA have assured the public that their cooperation will continue seamlessly.
In other news, SRH suffered a defeat in their recent IPL match against Delhi Capitals (DC). Opting to bat first, SRH could only manage 163 runs in 18.4 overs. Despite a strong 77-run partnership between Aniket Verma (74) and Heinrich Klaasen (32), they were bundled out by Kuldeep Yadav (3/22) and Mitchell Starc (5/35). In reply, DC chased down the target comfortably with a seven-wicket victory. Starc was awarded ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding bowling performance.
