IPL 2025: Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Stunning 101 Leaves Yashasvi Jaiswal In Awe

April 29, 2025: Yashasvi Jaiswal was full of praise for rising star Vaibhav Suryavanshi after Rajasthan Royals (RR) stunned Gujarat Titans (GT) with a record-breaking eight-wicket win in IPL 2025. Chasing a daunting target of 210, the Royals made light work of it, reaching the total in just 15.5 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, thanks to a blazing century by Suryavanshi.

The young right-hander smashed a breathtaking 101 off just 38 balls, including 7 fours and 11 towering sixes, leaving fans and teammates in awe. It was a statement innings that not only powered RR to victory but also announced Suryavanshi as one of the breakout stars of the season.

“Incredible innings, one of the best I have seen. Hope he will do it for us for a long time,” said Jaiswal, who played a vital supporting role with an unbeaten 70 off 40 balls. “He just played amazing shots, he practises well, works hard in the nets. He has the game and temperament, wish him all the luck.”

Jaiswal also reflected on the team’s focus to finish games more decisively after a few close contests in recent matches. “We were talking that somebody needs to stay and finish the game after the last three games. I was there luckily today and tried my best,” he added.

In the process, Jaiswal reached a personal milestone, crossing the 2,000-run mark in the IPL. His composed knock featured nine boundaries and two sixes, anchoring the innings while Suryavanshi did the heavy lifting.

Looking ahead, Jaiswal echoed the philosophy of the Royals’ coaching staff, stating, “Our coach says one game at a time and we’ll give 100% each game.”
