Josh Hazlewood sparks Pakistan collapse to reclaim momentum for Australia on day three

Josh Hazlewood, an Australian fast bowler, helped his team come back on the third day of the final Test match against Pakistan in Sydney on Friday. They are ahead by 82 runs and are at 68/7 at Stumps. Mohammad Rizwan (6) and Aamer Jamal (0) are at the wicket. It was the third session of day three of the Test match. There were 29.2 overs played, and 78 runs were made. Bowlers from both teams also took 11 wickets. In Australia’s first game, Aamer Jamal caught Travis Head in the 84th over. Head had scored 10 runs off of 29 balls.

Australia, on the other hand, made a strong comeback thanks to Mitchell Marsh and Alex Carey’s important fifty partnership (54 runs off 113 balls). Carey was out right before tea, when the home team had four wickets left and only 24 runs to spare against Pakistan’s score. Australia was out for 299 runs when Aamer Jamal took six wickets. This helped Pakistan hit out Australia. The best batters for the guests were Saim Ayub (33 runs off 53 balls) and Babar Azam (23 runs off 52 balls). The other batters all got out before they could score after Hazlewood led a rampage in Sydney. Four wickets were taken by Hazlewood on day three, which put Australia in charge of the game and took it away from the guests.

Looking back at the second session of day three, Mitchell Marsh’s fifty in the third straight Test and his partnership with wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey brought Australia very close to taking the lead at the end of the second session on Friday. Australia is 289/6 at Tea, and Marsh (50*) hasn’t lost yet. Australia began the second session on 199/4, with Travis Head and Marsh both on six without being out. Head had another bad run in the game when Aamer Jamal trapped him leg-before-waist for only 10. They were five runs behind with 205 runs to go. After the early wicket, Marsh and Alex Carey began to rebuild the game.
In 94 overs, Australia scored 250 runs. Marsh hit his fourth fifty in five innings of this Test series. It took him 107 balls and five fours to get there. Sajid Khan got Carey out for 38 runs off of 58 balls, with three fours, just a few balls before the session ended.
