Delhi Capitals spinner Kuldeep Yadav found himself at the center of controversy after a video surfaced showing him slapping Kolkata Knight Riders batter Rinku Singh following their IPL 2025 clash on Tuesday. The video, which has since gone viral, shows Kuldeep laughing with teammates before abruptly slapping Rinku twice — seemingly in jest.

The act, however, appeared to catch Rinku off guard. The KKR star looked visibly shocked and briefly upset before engaging in a tense-looking exchange with Kuldeep. With no audio in the clip, the context remains unclear, but fans on social media expressed outrage and even called for disciplinary action against Kuldeep, with some demanding his suspension.

The incident took place after KKR’s crucial 14-run victory over DC, which helped the team stay in contention for the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Batting first, Kolkata posted 204/9, thanks to a combined effort from Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44 off 32), Rinku Singh, and others. Sunil Narine (3/29) then led the bowling attack, helping restrict Delhi to 190/9, despite a valiant 62 by Faf du Plessis and useful contributions from Axar Patel (43) and Vipraj Nigam (38).

Mitchell Starc bagged 3/43 for DC, while Axar (2/27) and Nigam (2/41) also chipped in with wickets.
